Letter of Appreciation
to Mrs. Rachel Veit
for Services as Set Forth Herein [2011]
“I take pleasure in expressing my sincere appreciation for your outstanding support as a voluntary ad-hoc committee member of the 3d Dental Battalion/U.S. Naval Dental Center Okinawa, Japan, Dental Corps 97th, 98th and 99th Birthday Celebrations. Your unselfish contributions in volunteering your personal time made a difference in making these events most successful and enjoyable. The creativity and hard work you so freely dedicated were truly noteworthy, and your participation was an essential element to the success of the Dental Corps Birthday Celebrations. Your gift of artistic finesse in the preparations of the different items culminated in several memorable moments noted by the Commanding Generals in attendance through their many compliments. The celebrations were a success because of your creativity, assistance, personal sacrifice, and your dedication to the Command. I would like to thank you for a job “WELL DONE!”

“On behalf of the Dental Corps Officers and guests who attended, I would like to express my appreciation for the time and service that the Birthday Ball Committee devoted to the 97th Dental Corps Birthday Ball held on 22 August 2009. As a member of the 3d Dental Battalion/U.S. Naval Dental Center Birthday Ball Committee, you spent many hours of hard work to ensure a smooth and fun evening for the one hundred and twenty-three guests in attendance. The volunteer participation you displayed in supporting this command function demonstrates true Navy “Espirit De Corps”. Certificate of Appreciation
to Rachel Veit [2009]
“Ms. Rachel Veit is a highly talented, energetic, hard-working, valued member of the graphics team. Ms. Veit was selected to art direct the second edition of the Under21 magazine refining the look she had established in the first award winning issue. Rachel’s dedication went beyond simply designing the publication, she spent long hours during the work week, and on the weekends directing photo shoots, reviewing contributor portfolios while still working on her day-to-day MCCS projects. I respectfully request an award in recognition for Ms. Veit’s impressive efforts on what I know will be another award winning MCCS publication.”

Special Achievement Award
to Rachel Veit [2008]
“Rachel was tasked to Art Direct MCCS’s newest publication U21, a challenge that she took with the confidence of a seasoned pro. Designing a publication within a 6-month window aimed at the teen demographic was no easy task. Meetings, photo shoots, revisions, redesigns, and hours of research often encompassing 11-hour workdays, sometimes 6 days a week were the norm. On top of that workload were her assigned internal and external clients, as well as assisting with The Source, which made Rachel’s efforts so much more the extraordinary. What Rachel and the U21 team accomplished was nothing short of amazing and in my professional opinion the results show a visually engaging, relevant, informative publication reaching out to an audience that has never been marketed to in this fashion before. I respectfully request that Rachel be recognized for her dedication to our Vision and Guiding Principles in Making Okinawa Home!”
